I have worked professionally on video/computer games since 1989. What started out as a hobby after school, turned into a full-time job rather fast.
So far there have been 119 projects that I have worked on and I hope I didn't forget any. That number seems to be a lot, but keep in mind that turn-around time during the pioneer days of the early ’90s was quite short for audio production. Often the games were almost done when the composer/sound designer got involved and then we had to catch up quickly since they wanted to have the thing out of the door as soon as possible.
Also, since multi-platform development was not as easily done as it is these days, the same game on a different system was usually a whole new project in terms of development time and resources.
